Bottling company DEVIN JSC has signed an agreement with the South Korean company Encyiks and Human Co. Under the agreement, DEVIN will provide natural mineral, sparkling and spring water, which will be distributed in South Korea. The company plans to expand its operations in the future and might offer DEVIN bottled water in other Asian countries.
“As a leader on the Bulgarian market, it is a good opportunity for DEVIN to expand its presence. We are excited, as we will offer DEVIN bottled water in the region of Asia for the first time. We hope that its natural qualities, unique taste and purity of origin will be highly appreciated by consumers in South Korea”, DEVIN Chief Executive Officer Mr. Thomas Krennbauer commented during the official ceremony for signing the contract and the first order to South Korea.
“Our company’s goal and belief is to build the business platform for DEVIN water and to be the unchallenged leader in the world water industry. In order to achieve our goal, we will strengthen the international competitive power and foster the Bulgarian water industry. DEVIN will be realized first in Korea and second in Asia and then in America and Europe”, – the CEO of Encyiks and Human Co. Ltd. Mr. Gilbert Lim said.
The official guests of the signing ceremony in Sofia were the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Bulgaria H.E. Shin Boo-nam, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Belgium in Bulgaria H.E. Francois Bontemps, who wished luck to the two companies in their future business cooperation.
“Bulgaria is well-known for its traditions, beautiful nature and water with unique qualities. This agreement could be a great turning point for the increase of relations between Bulgaria and Korea. Now the Korean people will have opportunity to drink every day pure bottled water that comes from the heart of the Rhodope Mountain. I hope that Koreans will enjoy the incredible taste of DEVIN water, one of the best natural waters in Bulgaria” – His Excellency Shin Boo-nam, the Ambassador of Korea in Bulgaria said during the ceremony.

The duration of the agreement between DEVIN and Encyiks and Human Co. is for a period of three years, with the option to be extended with interest from both sides. The products that will be offered in South Korea will have a special label including logos and trade names of the companies as well as information on the characteristics and duration of bottled water. The packaging of DEVIN Mineral, DEVIN Air and DEVIN Spring that will be available on the South Korean market will be of 0.33 l; 0.5 l; 1.5 l and 19 l.
